Mortware Professional is sold with a GPL template in place. Category and item descriptions can be changed and whole items can be deleted if required. It is recommended that prices are updated by the Mortware users to match their current funeral services price list prior to going live with Mortware. This is to minimize data entry time and user input errors during arrangements.

Please refer to the GPL setup videos and documentation for further information on how to edit the GPL.

*It is highly recommended that the category and code numbers are left as-is. These are referenced to sort line items on the Mortware Dynamic contract as well as other documents.

Setting Sort Order for Funeral / Cemetery Packages

By default, the order of packages displayed in the “Select Package” dropdown list in the Mortware Case Entry Screens is determined by the order they are created in the Mortware GPL. If you enter new packages and do not necessarily want them at the top of the list, the Mortware sort order tool can be used to set the packages in the order you would like them to be displayed.

With the sort order, the lowest number takes the highest position in the list, negative numbers are permitted, but all packages must have a sort order # assigned for this to work properly. If not all packages have a sort order number assigned, the packages without a number will automatically take the top position. You can also set the same sort order number for all packages and then just change the number for the one you want at the top of the list to a lower number.

(ie: if all packages are assigned a sort order #1 with the exception of one package assigned sort order #0. The package with sort order #0 will display at the top.)

The following are the steps required to set sort orders for packages in Mortware:

1. Select “Home Setup” from the dashboard.
2. Select “General Price List” tab on the Setup screen.
3. Select “Packages” tab.
4. Highlight the package you wish to change in the top menu.
5. Click “Edit”
6. Assign “Sort Order” number in the bottom box of the Package Properties screen.
7. Click “OK”
8. Repeat steps 4 through 6 until packages are in the proper order for your drop down menu and the top package is the one that you would like as the default.

MCloud Browser – Download .exe Files

The following are the steps required to download a remote desktop client or other executable file from a customer’s MCloud Browser session to their computer. This example is for a RDP client called “Scott-00” and with the MCloud launched in Chrome.

1.) Make sure you are logged onto the MCloud in your browser. Mortware does not need to be open for this.

2.) To download files from the MCloud, activate the MCloud Menu.

3.) Next, select the “File Upload” button. (Upload because you are technically uploading from the MCloud to your computer)

4.) Once the File Explorer window opens, select the Remote Desktop Client from its location, (usually stored in a folder on the desktop) click on the file then select the “Open” button.

5.) After a few seconds, (dependent on internet speed) a dialogue box will appear. Click this box to complete the download.

6.) For most browsers there will be some type of warning at this point regarding the file download. For Chrome, this box appears: (click the down arrow on right to open options menu)

7.) From the download options menu, select “Keep”.

The Remote Client has now been downloaded to your default download folder.

8.) To view your folder and access your remote client, open the download options by clicking the menu button at the right of the file and select “Show in folder”.

9.) This will open a new File Explorer window for your Download Folder. Feel free to copy your client anywhere you need it.

Windows may have some additional security warnings regarding running a file of this type as well. Just make sure to agree and open the file regardless. If there is a dialogue box with a checkbox that allows you to trust files of this type, check that box to save yourself the extra steps in the future.
